Tax Help Appointments at Multiple Branches

The Ewing, Hollowbrook, Hopewell, Lawrence, and Robbinsville branches are hosting free tax preparation from AARP Tax-Aide. AARP trained tax preparers focus on low and moderate income returns, but can prepare most personal returns within training guidelines. Tax preparers can e-file Federal and state returns, as well as PTR (“Senior Freeze”) forms.

Make an Appointment

All branches use the AARP Tax-Aide Locator to schedule appointments. Search by your city or zip code to find available times at a location near you. If no appointments appear available, check back—cancellations open new slots regularly.

What to Bring

Review the AARP Tax-Aide checklist of documents to bring to your appointment, including ID, income statements, and your previous year’s tax return.

Tax Help Appointments at the Hightstown Branch

Free tax preparation from the United Way of Greater Mercer County is also available at the Hightstown branch.

The free tax program (VITA-Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offers families and individuals making less than $67,000 free tax return preparation by trained and IRS-certified volunteers. Appointments are for federal and state tax preparation.

To schedule an appointment, you will need to call the Hightstown branch directly at 609-448-1474. For more information, including what to bring to your appointment, visit the United Way of Greater Mercer County’s tax preparation web page.
