The 2021 1040, 1040-SR and instruction booklets are available for pickup at all MCLS branches. Check your local branch to see if the binder of reproducible forms (schedules) is available. We are also able to print other forms from the IRS website ($0.10 a page).
AARP Tax Preparation Appointments
AARP Tax Preparation Appointments are once again available at MCLS branches.
Prior to arriving for your appointment to drop off your tax information, please complete the documents included in the Pre-Appointment Packet. This packet contains tax forms and instructions on the return preparation process. Each branch has a different way to get these packets to you. Please refer to the branch listing below.
The IRS is sending two new letters to taxpayers. If you received these letters, please bring them to your appointment (including multiple letters if married and sent to both you and your spouse).
- Letter 6475: Your 2021 Economic Impact Payments
- Letter 6419: 2021 Total Advance Child Tax Credit (AdvCTC) Payments
Lastly, please bring a copy of your 2020 and 2019 tax returns and your cell phone so we may contact you with any questions as we prepare your taxes. When you drop off and pick up your forms and tax return, you must wear a mask.
