Mercer County Library System (MCLS) partners with Rutgers University School of Social Work to assist Mercer County residents who are in need of social services. The interns are students working towards obtaining their Master’s degree in social work. MCLS interns are available to connect residents with social services agencies and resources throughout the County.
A social work intern is available to provide resources for: immigration assistance; housing assistance; food assistance; support group contacts; family & childcare assistance; help with navigating health insurance; mental health services; senior and veteran services; and services for those with disabilities.
Interns will work from early January through mid-April at the locations listed below. Scheduling options will be available for in-person support. Branches and hours are below:
Hightstown
- Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
