Hello, and welcome to the Ewing Branch of the Mercer County Library System! We are the pride of Ewing, the jewel in its crown. The library is a valuable resource to the community, and our goal is to provide access to all kinds of information, and encourage you to take full advantage of the myriad programs and services that your library offers. Our skilled, friendly, and professional library staff works diligently to provide materials and services that inform, educate, and enrich the lives of our diverse community.

Did you know that the Ewing Branch has the largest collection of large print books in the county system? That we offer free classes on using computers and eReaders? That you can download eBooks and audiobooks free of charge to your computer, smartphone, tablet, and eReaders? Stream music and movies and read current issues of scores of magazines on your electronic devices? That you can surf the web? Borrow CDs, DVDs, and books on CD free of charge? Participate in our monthly book discussion group? Enjoy storytelling, craft programs, and special lectures on a variety of topics? View the work of local artists, schools, and community groups in our gallery areas? Locate information quickly and easily in our extensive reference collection? Connect to our online catalog from your home or office computer through our library’s homepage? Have a librarian review your resume? Study quietly in a comfortable room designed specifically for this purpose? Meet with your civic group in one of our three community rooms? Access dozens of electronic databases from your home, school, or office? Borrow books from virtually any library in the country through interlibrary loan? Enjoy free movies, foreign films, and documentaries? Take advantage of free tax assistance provided by AARP? Get your documents notarized free of charge? Relax in our reading room with current newspapers and magazines? Have a librarian proctor your school exam free of charge? Scan documents at no cost? Receive email notification for holds and overdues? Connect to the Internet using the library’s wi-fi? Learn a foreign language and take occupation practice tests in the comfort of your home through our website?

These are just some of the many things that can be yours by visiting your library! We invite you to come in and browse our excellent adult, young adult, and children’s collections—travel to the Great Wall, climb Mt. Everest, relive the sinking of the Titanic, track the stock market, meet the wives of Henry the VIII, learn the recipe for authentic Italian pizza, enjoy Dora, Thomas the Tank, and Iron Man, scream and gag with R.L. Stine and Stephen King, jam with Wynton Marsalis, learn why the leaning Tower of Pisa leans.

Overdrawn on your checking account? Busted at the bank? Come in and take advantage of all we have to offer! We’re STILL the best deal in town! And, while you’re here, pick up a copy of our calendar of events, or look for our programming schedule in the Ewing Observer and other local papers. You can also view our schedule of activities online. And, why not consider joining our Friends of the Library group and volunteer for our booksales and other fun events? (Brochures and applications are available in the Branch.)

Our doors are always open. It is our hope that you will become, and continue to be, lifelong readers, users, and supporters of your library. Stop in and say hello!
