For patrons new to English and those who wish to increase their fluency, come practice English in person with the help of library staff. Citizenship exam preparation is also available in person and online.

ESL Conversation

Monday Afternoons at 2:30 pm

Improve your English speaking skills by chatting in casual conversation. The sessions are intended for intermediate-level speakers (those comfortable speaking English in most situations and looking for practice to increase confidence).

ESL Conversation Circle

Second Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm

This is a fun and non-judgmental conversation circle for anyone who wants to practice their English language skills. We will talk about our lives, our interests and anything else we feel like saying in this safe and relaxed group. No materials are required. Librarian Andrew Punk will facilitate this non-structured class.

ESL Conversation Group

Mondays, 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Practice speaking and understanding English at our friendly and informal program for English language learners at the West Windsor Branch Library. We will discuss current topics, learn new vocabulary, and enjoy improving our language skills in a group setting. All adults are welcome.

Citizenship Exam Practice Appointment

Are you working toward U.S. Citizenship? Make an appointment for a practice interview session with an MCLS staff member to go through all three sections of the test: reading, writing and the civics questions. This practice session will give you a good idea of what will happen during the interview and how well prepared you are. These appointments will take place via GoToMeeting.
