Accessible Reading

We offer many resources for those who have difficulty reading standard print.

BARD Assistance – Mercer County Library offers assistance with BARD, the Braille and Audio Reading Download service, which offers downloadable audiobooks, braille books, and audio magazines for patrons who are unable to read standard print due to a visual, print, or physical disability.

Large Print Collection – In our catalog, we also offer an option to filter exclusively to our large print collection.

Homebound Borrowing – We offer free home delivery of library materials to patrons unable to visit the library in person. Library volunteers will deliver books, movies, audiobooks and more to homebound patrons who are registered for Homebound Borrowing.

Libby – Libby also allows you to switch to Open Dyslexic font (specifically designed to help alleviate common symptoms of Dyslexia), as well as low vision options and different reading speeds for audiobooks.
