Although the scheduled hours of these vacancies will mirror our present circumstances, the library system will move toward increasing its hours and days of operation back to a pre-COVID schedule, as COVID 19 and the Governor’s EOs permit.
Any candidate wishing to pursue a vacancy with the library system will be required to at some point work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be flexible and adaptable to what could be a changing environment. Part time staff in particular must be aware that most part time positions require working every Saturday and/or Sunday, or at least every other. Some require, under normal circumstances, more than one evening per week.
Please also remember our programming needs have changed – in addition to in-house programming, which will resume as soon as is safe to do so, we engage our public by creating virtual programming and participating in the library’s blog and other social media outlets. Outreach is also an important component to any library position, and will be again, as soon as permitted.
